Sleeping Beauty Performance Day is here!

Nervous energy begins very early in the day - we all arrive as early as possible with a quick meeting.  After a short discussion we all get to work - ironing is a biggest thing, 6 or 7 people will iron for most of the day.  We are teaching everyone that 100% is the minimum effort for performers so we do set the standard backstage making sure every part of the performance as expected.

Back stage is super organised, checked and re checked.  Principals will be onstage at 1.00pm for class then rehearsals.  Our principals get their hair and make-up done eating an early dinner so when our youngest dancers arrive the focus is on them.  Hair, make-up, rehearsal and into costume ready to start.

Programme sellers are ready 30 minutes before everyone else so they can greet everyone who is arriving for the performance,  House music is at the ready providing an exciting atmosphere for the beginning of the show.

Before we know it - the house curtain will go up, the audience will quieten down and our music will begin the to settle everyone into the story -  Sleeping Beauty as a live performance, nothing better.
